Fire Fighting System

Easier protection for
people and property

AIoT Controll Mobile System UX/ UI/Visual/Flutter
"Louku" was born out of an AIoT competition where we designed a smoke detector, a water sprinkler and a mobile app all in one, using equipment modules provided by the organizers. Finally, we won the Silver Award of International Invention Award.

Discover Problems

We conducted brief interviews with team members, friends to explore their thoughts and behaviors related to the fire. The main questions were as follows:

1. The feeling that a fire can happen at any time.
2. Do not know how to escape safely.
3. I don't know if the machine is operating normally.
4. Sometimes there is no fire, but the sprinkler sprays extensively on its own, resulting in financial loss.

Define Users

We unified the survey data and designed two personas to explore their goals, attitudes and behaviors. The target areas are set in large public spaces such as factories and companies, so that the application of the Internet of Things can have a greater impact.

CJM & Blueprint

We unified the survey data and designed a persona to explore his goals, attitudes and behaviors. The target areas are set in large public spaces such as factories and companies, so that the application of the Internet of Things can have a greater impact.

Our Solutions

We used two persona blogs to embody our user archetypes, and also used user journey maps to observe their thoughts and feelings in their daily lives so that we could identify opportunities for solutions in the timeline. After identifying the need to solve the problem, we examined the ease of implementation of our technical side and formulated the solution as follows.

APP push broadcast

Predict the occurrence of fire

Determine the cause of the fire

Identification of smoke particles

Detect the fire point

Extinguish the fire directly

Branding Assets

The logo is a combination of "L" and "K" with two hooks (symbolizing safety and peace) and a flame shape on the left side.

Illustrates

In the modal for contacting firefighters, I designed an illustration based on the dress of Taiwanese firefighters and used the standard color scheme of APP to present a sense of consistency and intimacy.

For the fire warning modal, I designed a fire imagery composed of standard colors, cutting out the appearance of burning flames.

In the image of security, the shape of the eye is cut through the curves and circles, symbolizing that "everything is under surveillance".

Fire Forecast Alerts

Due to the time constraint of programming, my design this time is more simple, not too much dynamic or custom interface design, mostly following the material design rules and using native tools.

Connecting Device

Users can connect several devices in the app, and the connected devices can report the environmental forecast status in real time. Therefore, to add a new device, the user's cell phone and the device must be under the same network domain before the connection can be made.

Historical Record

The history function allows you to record fire prediction data, including start time, end time, duration, etc. The graph function provides a quick overview of the fire frequency over the years.

Conclusions

The whole process of creating Louku was very enjoyable, from requirement exploration, technical integration, to the final implementation stage. In the end, we won two silver awards and one masterpiece, including an international invention award.

What did I do

From the initial planning of the user experience, the conceptual flow of device transmission, to the subsequent architecture design and UI design, I frequently discussed with three engineers to understand their hardware transmission methods.
